My name is Katherine and I’m a 21-year-old currently living in Philadelphia, though I’m originally from Taiwan and Southern California. I’m finishing up my degrees in Anthropology and Management at Penn and am planning to move to New York City (and hopefully abroad!) afterwards.
I’m a lover of new experiences and will try basically anything at least once. I want to live with absolutely no regrets and this blog is a testament to that mindset. My experiences, especially in the past few years, have shown me just how amazing not only the world but those around me can be. This past summer I’ve met some incredible people who have joined me on some once-in-a-lifetime adventures and taught me to just say “yes.” Sounds dumb, but I’ve only recently learned how to really enjoy life.
I’m using this blog as a promise to myself to continue chasing new experiences with those I care about. In my last year in Philly, I’m challenging myself to visit at least one bar or happy hour each week (when I’m actually in town). I also thought about challenging myself to visit 100 countries by the age of 30, but I didn’t want to rush or force my experiences – nor did I want to be presumptuous of the resources or time that would be available to me in the next decade.
So instead, I’m just going to live it up. With that comes the inspiration to my blog’s title, since I’ve been getting the variations of the question, “Where the heck are you?” quite frequently recently. Join me if you’re in Philadelphia (or if you’re not). If not, please share your experiences with me too – I’d love to hear them. Either way, enjoy life because it is short but so good.
